Data

I like numbers.

And helping people, and AI, make sense of them.

Builds

Small tools, on the side.

A digital notebook and charts I share online.

My story

Banking came first.

Then iPhone apps. Now I make things for fun.

Daniel Quek, with curly shoulder-length hair and a clip-on mic, talking with his hands against a pale blue background. He is wearing a green camo T-shirt with a deer and the words Whitetail Legend.

Finance first. Now AI.

I started in banking, built iPhone apps, and now build with AI every day.

I ship small AI products like Eat Simi and Play Simi, make AI videos, and share what I learn at Codex community events. I like making tech easy to understand.

Diagram of the Second Brain: a daily news roundup, articles and highlights flow into tidy, linked notes, which answer questions
What I read, filed into notes I can ask.
Personal tool · I use it every day

Second Brain

My digital notebook. AI files what I read into tidy, linked notes, so I don't forget what I learn.

How it works, and how I check it
  1. What I read
  2. Tidy notes
  3. Answers
What it does
Each day it collects a news roundup and turns what I read into notes.
How I check it
I test it with questions to make sure it finds the right note, and says so when it doesn't know.

Based on an idea from Andrej Karpathy. The code is private.

SSIC & SSOC Decision Trails

Two sister apps that find Singapore's official codes for you. Describe a business to get its SSIC industry code, or paste a job ad to get its SSOC occupation code. You watch the AI choose, step by step, as a pixel-art crowd.

How it works, and how I check it
  1. Your text
  2. Five rounds
  3. Final five
  4. Code
How it decides
It narrows the official list one level at a time using SingStat's own definitions, then picks from the best five. It shows how sure it is at every step.
How I check it
I compare its answers with the codes on real MyCareersFuture listings. Industry codes matched 10 of 12 companies. Job codes matched 4 of 10 ads, and most misses were ads that could fit more than one code.
